Who gives consent, to whom and for what: purposes, the data, what is done with it, the term and how to withdraw. Version of 2026-10-29.
A user of the skinrentals.com Platform — an individual who ticks the box “I consent to the processing of my personal data” at registration or on the consent screen. The user is identified by their account on the Platform (e-mail address or Steam ID). Ticking the box while signed in is the user’s simple electronic signature.
The personal data operator — the Provider named in the details below on this page and in the site footer (full name, INN, city, e-mail).
Registering and keeping the account; concluding and performing the contract under the public offer (placing rentals, sending and returning items, granting access to a rental Steam account); accepting payment and issuing receipts; support and claims; fraud prevention and security; meeting tax law obligations.
E-mail address and name; Steam ID (steam64), Steam profile name and avatar; Steam trade link; IP address and browser details when documents are accepted and when access to a rental account is obtained; order, balance and support history. No special categories of data, biometrics or passport data are processed.
Collection, recording, organisation, accumulation, storage, updating, retrieval, use, transfer (provision, access), anonymisation, blocking, deletion and destruction — with and without automation. The data is stored on servers in the Russian Federation.
The data is shared with: Valve Corporation (USA) — Steam ID and trade link to send trades (a cross-border transfer needed to perform the contract); the payment provider — what is needed for the payment and the receipt; the hosting provider whose servers run the Platform (Russian Federation).
Loyalty level, security deposit amount, eligibility to rent and access restrictions are decided automatically from account data and order history. The user may ask for a human review through the “Support” section.
Consent is valid until the account is deleted or consent is withdrawn. It can be withdrawn through the “Support” section (topic “Delete account and data”) or by e-mail to the Operator. After withdrawal the Operator stops processing and anonymises the data within 10 working days; transaction records are kept to the extent and for the period required by tax law, without linking them to the person. The service cannot be provided without consent.
Processing is described in detail in the Personal data processing policy (the “Personal data” page). Consent is given freely, of one’s own will and in one’s own interest (Article 9(1) of Federal Law No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data”).
